Are you the GUARDIAN OF DATA we are looking for?

As Deputy Data Protection Officer (DDPO) you will ensure that the company processes personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws. You will be responsible for demonstrating that Videoslots is GDPR Compliant towards all stakeholders, especially including the relevant authorities. This role involves as well to inform and advise the company about data protection obligations through its internal processes and policies.

What will you be doing? 

  • Assist in promoting privacy by designing a culture of awareness of data protection throughout the organization
  • Providing support to inform, advise, raise awareness and train the organization regarding GDPR as implemented in policies and procedures
  • You will be actively involved in Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA’s) together with the relevant teams
  • Help to develop, maintain and implement a data protection and privacy risk framework and processes together with the Legal & Compliance function
  • Monitor compliance with GDPR and implementation of controls to manage such risks.
  • Liaise with the organization to ensure that required security controls are implemented
  • Active involvement in Ropa’s and Data Mapping, especially the technical aspects of it
  • Handle data subject requests such as access / DSAR’s, amendment or deletion
  • Support internal and external audits with respect to GDPR
  • Active support of breach investigations and incidents, which need to be managed & documented and reported to management, the IDPC and data subjects as appropriate
  • Work with the legal & compliance team on various compliance duties including license applications, implementation of compliance requirements, supplier contracts, customer complaints and disputes, and audits
  • Act as a deputy to the DPO in fulfilling the requirements prescribed in Article 39 of the GDPR to keep the business and customers’ data safe

Who are you?

  • Ideally, you have a Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline (like Information Technology)
  • You have a very good understanding on the technical aspects of data flows in combination with a  Data Protection related qualification ( or the intention to study for this )
  • You have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role with exposure to a technical & data intensive environment
  • You have a good understanding of data within a tech-focused organization and the management, charting and recording of such data.
  • You have the ability to be self-motivated and take ownership in a dynamic environment with a positive, ‘can-do’ mindset
  • You are approachable and an effective communicator across all levels of the business , and especially skilled in providing technical data support to the DPO team & the company
  • You have the ability to define, structure and prioritize workload, with the flexibility to change direction when required
  • You have the ability to display a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
  • You are quality oriented with a keen eye for detail and coming up with creative solutions
  • You have excellent knowledge of MsOffice, especially with Microsoft Excel; PowerPoint knowledge a plus
